Mark graduated from the prestigious Sydney Acting School in 1988, performing in over 30 stage plays and has appeared in many Australian TV shows, mini-series and films, working with Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger and Jackie Chan.

Mark’s film appearances include Beneath Clouds, Mister Nice Guy, The Combination and The Nothing Men, which he wrote and directed as well as acted alongside Colin Friels.

In 1992 Mark took a script-writing course at the University Of Technology Sydney, which unearthed his edgy, hard-hitting style.

Mark has continued to sharpen his skills by writing an incredible 18 feature film scripts and 4 stage plays.

Mark’s writing abilities cover a wide array of genres, from comedic short films to a hard-hitting documentary, that was filmed inside a maximum security jail.

In 1998 Mark directed his short play, ‘The Poets’, at Belvoir Street Theatre.  Spurred on by the experience, he adapted his feature film script, ‘The Nothing Men’, for a stage production at Newtown Theatre. Mark also directed and acted in this critically-acclaimed production.

In 1999 Mark directed his 30 min short film, ‘The Gas Man’.  He cast Australia’s most notorious juvenile prisoners in lead roles and went behind the bars of a maximum-security prison to direct it.
